NORWICH – DCMO BOCES is seeking nominations from the community for the Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education Award. This award is given annually to recognize the efforts and achievements of educators in Delaware, Chenango, Madison and Otsego counties.

Board of Education members, administrators, community agencies, parents and families in the 16 component districts of DCMO BOCES are eligible to nominate an educator who they believe shows a commitment to the best interests of the students, service to their community, and continuous improvement in the educational process. Families who have benefited from the professional efforts of an area educator are particularly encouraged to make a nomination.

The electronic nomination form is available on the DCMO BOCES website at https://tinyurl.com/marshmanhallaward. Nominations must be received by February 13, 2025. Candidates will be informed of their nomination later that month, and the award itself will be presented to this year’s recipient at the DCMO BOCES Annual Meeting in April.

The Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education Award is named for Dan Marshman and Bob Hall, former members of the DCMO BOCES Board of Education. The two served their communities and DCMO BOCES in an exemplary fashion. Both men were focused on quality, continuous improvement, community collaboration, and, most importantly, students. They believed deeply in the power of education, the value of the BOCES model, and gave unselfishly of their time, ideas, and support. The DCMO BOCES Board of Education commemorates their service through The Marshman-Hall Commitment to Education Award to both memorialize their contributions and to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to education in our BOCES region.
